FAQs
Am I allowed to request managers/teammates? - You may request teammates in Tee Ball, Minor A, and Coach Pitch Softball only, but requests are NOT guaranteed. ALL OTHER REQUESTS WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE REGISTRATION.
Am I allowed to request practice days? - No. Given the size of our league, limited field availability, and number of divisions that form teams via a draft, we are no longer able to factor practice days into team formation.
When are assessments? - Assessments will be held January 9th or 10th. Assessments are not optional.
When are practices and games? - Practices begin the week of February 1st, 2026 and each team will practice twice weekly. Games will begin with our opening night on February 27th, 2026 and schedules will adjust for additional gametimes.
Volunteers
Volunteering in the league is mandatory. If you are unable to volunteer your time, you will have the option of paying the $200 opt-out fee per registration. We encourage everyone to get involved with their child's baseball and/or softball team and we will provide you the tools you need to succeed! Whether you manage, coach, umpire, serve as a team parent, help with pre-game field maintenance, your participation goes a long way towards ensuring a successful season for the kids. If you are interested in volunteering, please email
[email protected] for requirements. Team managers (head coaches only) will receive a 50% rebate on one registration with a paying sponsor. Concession leaders will receive a 100% rebate on one registration!
- If you would like to volunteer as a manager, assistant coach, team parent, or umpire, you must pass a Little League background check. Please email [email protected] to start the process. (Background checks are good Oct 1 - Sept 30)
- VSLL is always looking for people to umpire games. Please contact [email protected] if you are interested in umpiring or learning more.
- CONCESSION OPT-OUT FEE: The volunteer opt-out fee is $200. Concession stand duty is required by ALL player families except Challenger, Tee Ball, Juniors Baseball, and Seniors Baseball. DO NOT SELECT this option if you are registering for one of the exempt divisions. Teams will be responsible for ensuring families fill concession duties and will be penalized for non-participation.
Registration Fees
Tee ball: $85 registration fee + $30 fundraising cards = $115 total
All other divisions: $150 registration fee + $30 fundraising cards= $180 total
If you register after uniforms have been ordered, you may be subject to additional fees.
Please note that uniforms provided by the league only include a jersey and hat. Pants, socks, and belts are not included and will be ordered separately by the player's family or the team parent. Please defer to manager's request for pants, socks, and belt colors when assigned to your team.
Refunds: All refunds will be subject to a $20 Processing Fee. Additional withholdings will occur if uniforms have already been ordered.
