The majority of your questions are answered below but to highlight THREE that we often get--
If you are in a competitive division in the spring, you are not allowed to ask for a certain coach or teammate. There will be a draft and the child will be placed based on skill and safety. Tball, Minor A, and Softball Coach Pitch will be the only ones considered with requests.
We will NOT know the practice schedule until February and the game schedule until March- it's dependent on the number of children registered and how many division teams we have. You can request a certain day that works for your child's schedule and the VP's will do their best to honor it but we cannot guarantee it.
Every registration in the spring requires a proof of residency. Please ensure you have your correct address in the system. You will either have to prove you live in our area with an October or later utility bill OR if you live out of area and your child attends a school in our area a school waiver will need to be signed and uploaded place of the utility bill.

The 2020-2021 Board of Directors is looking forward to a fun and safe spring season with your children! VSLL is an outstanding organization and 100% run by volunteers.
We encourage everyone to get involved with their child's baseball and/or softball team. Whether you manage, coach, umpire, are a team mom, or with field maintenance, your participation goes a long way, and most importantly, benefits the kids.

Registration Spring Fees:
In addition to registration fees, every child will be responsible for selling 3 fundraising cards at $10 each for a total of $30. You will be charged for these in your registration fees and then can sell them as you wish.
November 1st- November 30th
1 Child-$105
2 Children-$190
3 Children-$255 and $65 for each additional child
December 1st- December 31st
1 Child- $125
2 Children- $230
3 Children-$315 and $85 for each additional child
January 1st- Opening
1 Child- $170
2 Children- $320
3 Children- $450 and $130 for each additional child
Refunds: All refunds will be subject to a $20 Processing Fee. Additional withholdings will occur if uniforms have already been ordered.
BASEBALL DIVISIONS:
Tee Ball- Ages 4-6 years old.
If your child is between the ages of 4-5 and never played Little League before they need to play one season of Tee Ball before they can move to Minor A.
There are 3 different Levels of Minor Baseball:
Minor A- Machine Pitch- Ages 6-8
Minor AA- Introductory Kid Pitch- Ages 8-9
Minor AAA- Kid Pitch (this is the division right before Majors Baseball)- Ages 9-11
Majors- Competitive division- Ages 10-12
50/70- An option to add in addition to Majors or Juniors. If you are already registered for Majors or Juniors the fee is $35. If you are not, the prices reflected are above. This team starts a little later than the rest of the league and the practice/game days are less than other divisions.
Juniors/ Seniors- Ages 13-16
Challenger Division- This is for any age child that is mentally or physically challenged.
SOFTBALL
Minors: 2 options Coach Pitch- recommended ages 6-8
Kid Pitch- recommended ages 8-11
Majors – recommended ages 10-12 VSLL follows the Little League Bat Rules.
TEAM DETAILS:
* There will be spring assessments for all divisions except tee-ball and minor A baseball in late January. You will receive an email with the days and times to arrive.
*Practices are scheduled to start early February. You will be contacted by a coach with specifics. Please watch for any emails from the league for information updates in case there are weather delays, etc.
*If you have a preference on practice and/or game days you may note that on your registration and the VP's will take that into consideration; however, it cannot be guaranteed.
*Each team can expect 1-2 practices a week, along with 1-2 games a week (Tball will be once a week and one game a week). Please see our website with more specific division information.

***There are no discounts or refunds given for weather conditions that require us to cancel or reschedule games due to county regulations.
***Full permission to any and all use of photographs, videotapes, or any other record of practices or games may be used by the league online, through social media channels, or publications as they see fit.
***There will be no refunds issued for COVID19 closures.
*** VOLUNTEERS:
If you would like to become a team parent, manager, umpire, etc. you must be cleared through our volunteer system. Please email us so we can get you the proper paperwork to fill out.
